so i guess i'll update since my last post is a little outdated. the semester is over in a few weeks, snowboarding will be starting soon and i just bought a new shotgun a few weeks ago, a mossberg 500, all very good things. thats pretty much all i got. have a nice weekend everybody.

Got one!

So on on saturday i picked up my gun, went to the range and tested it out. i shot a couple times from like 50 yards and it was accurate enough for my liking, so i took it out road hunting for a couple hours cause it was raining. didnt see any bucks, just 3 does. the next morning i left a four with my buddy eric to go hunting. on the way up the mountain we saw nine doe. then we saw a bear that we chased for a while but couldnt get a shot at (he has a bear tag). after that we decides we'd hike all the way to the top and look with our binoculars for a while. well long story short we didnt have to look long once we were up at the top, we see 4 bucks on top roughly 350 yards away but a canyon seperated us. so we snuck up to the rock ledge and layed down, rested our guns, picked out the ones we wanted and pulled the trigger at about the same time. dropped em in their tracks at an estimated range of more than 250 yards, i am now more than happy with my .270. heres some pics.

after we got to em, the work began. we shot them at 12 in the afternoon and didnt get em home til one in the morning. i was starting to regret shooting a deer 9 miles up a mountain. and did i forget to mention i had to go to work the next day? or that we took a 2 hour detour cause we weren't sure where the truck was? now they are butchered and in the fridge so its worth it.

My blogworthy new job

i got hired at the wal-mart dc recently, and i start my orientation week on the 24th. so i guess im pretty stoked i got hired. however not so stoked i have to work weekends but oh well, i get wed and fri off from work and school so its all good! thats about it, have a good week!

longest 10 days of my life.....

the waiting period until i can pick up my new gun. just bought a mossberg ATR-100 .270, its the first american made bolt action they have made in over 20 years. it was on sale at Olde West on market street in redding ( i should get for a discount for mentioning that). i bought the one with the mossy-oak finish too, and i bought a Nikon 3-9X40 Scope for it. they will mount the scope and bore sight it for me and i can pick it up and shoot it in ten days., cant wait! heres some pics of the gun.

so i have an itv spanish class and i hate it. i know hate is a strong word but no one wants to listen to a guy on a video screen talk in spanish for 2 and a half hours straight.oh, and i was also informed it is now too late to switch out, so it looks like i'll be attending for a while and trying to pass :( i'll leave you with some new chuck norris facts:

school :(

i started going on tuesday, but i only have it tuesdays and thursdays so thats good. the bad news is it's 14 units packed into 2 days so i get to be there from 9:30 to, well 9:30 with a 3 hour break in between. well im off to bed soon cause i need my beauty sleep, goodnight.

Yep, im 18 now. the scratcher i bought on my birthday was a loser though so i dont think i'll be buying any more of them.

Oh, and i just bought a bow used from a friend like a month ago for $75. Here it is-

So far i am accurate from like 30-40 yards. bow season starts in a week, but i need to take my test still. i took the saftey course online but still have to take the final in redding so i hope i can do that in a few days.

Summer

Well Here are some pics of what i've been doing all summer, enjoy:

I caught this one last monday on the upper sac, it's a 20 inch native rainbow trout

This is from fishing the mcCloud river, we were fishing for trout but seemed to catch more bass than anything that day. (it was very hot, thats why im workin on the tan)

After fishing the mccloud me and my friend eric drove like two hours down dirt roads and found this creek. you can catch millions of trout in it but they are all like 6 inches

This is a 17" Rainbow trout i caught out of clear creek, since they took out the diversion dam @ whiskeytown there are some sizeable trout now in the creek

This is me using the fly-rod i made out at battle creek, it was good to shake off all the fly fishing rust but i caught no fish that time, bummer :(

New Truck

I bought a 98' S10 like three days ago. So far i like it, i got the 4 cylinder so i've gotten about 27 mpg on average and i like that! it had 100,000 miles which isnt bad at all. I'm takin it fishin for the first time tomorrow, either on the way to reno, or with Jeremy, we'll see but either way i'll have fun. Here's what it looks like-

Oh and i just put a deck in it today, a kenwood but im too lazy to take a pic and upload it.

I Have A Blog Again!

Well i lost my last password and six months later i quit being lazy and fixed it, so sorry if i didnt write anyone back. So i have way to much to write about so i'll keep it simple. I just graduated high school June 8th. Other than that i love to go fishing, i go like three days a week nowdays so hit me up if you ever wanna go! This summer i've been to the upper Sac, Lower sac, clear creek, battle creek, pit river, dog creek, shasta lake and the McCloud river I'll show everyone pics when i develop my waterproof disposable camera!
